Lata Mangeshkar

Lata Mangeshkar was born on September 28th, 1929 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Lata sung over 50,000 songs as a playback singer in films. The sweetness and innocense in her voice are the true characteristic of her singing.

She got her first Filmfare Awards in 1958. From then on she had numerous awards over the years. She is still the leading female playback singer in Bollywood and an idol for the new singers. Apart from huge hits in Filmi songs she also sung many ghazals as well. She had duet ghazal album with Jagjit Singh which was a huge hit.
